Rodent Control

Whether large gutter rats or small mice that scurry into your kitchen from pipes, rodents are one of the most disastrous urban pests.

  • Like all mammals, rodents are highly intelligent, adaptive and aggressive.

  • Due to their constant gnawing they are quick in damaging property.

  • They chew up wires very easily thus leading to electrical short circuits that set fires.

  • They are carriers of several life threatening diseases.

  • Rodents are highly mobile and smart in nature.

Methods for rodent control:
Rodents control is a difficult and challenging task. In fact it is next to impossible to rid them permanently, as their survival depends on availability of food which is rampantly available in Mumbai, in the shape of garbage littering the streets. However, for homes and smaller areas like offices, we offer the following:

Baiting:
Baiting is an effective way of controlling rats and mice. An attractive food for rats is mixed with poison and placed in hidden areas. The result is immediate killing of the pest. However, one must be careful to place the bait in places that are easily accessible to remove the dead pest.

Trapping:

  • It is possible to trap small mice through glue boards that can be placed in hidden areas of the house with some food sprinkled on them.

  • Glue boards are preferred in places where poison baits can be hazardous, such as, food processing units, pharmaceutical units etc.

  • Trapping prevents the possibility of rats dying in an inaccessible place from where it cannot be easily removed, such as AC ductings.

Aerosol Spraying:

  • Specially meant to protect vehicle engines, cables and wires from rat bites.

Permanent solution for Rodents control for reasons explained earlier, is extremely difficult. Therefore, we can only help you when you have an intruder in your premises. At that point we can offer you baiting or trapping, whichever may be suited to the situation.
